Fun with Folds

Sorry to post this challenge a day late--it's been a whirlwind with the Workshops of a Lifetime! Thanks for your patience. . . .

I always like to see the different folds people come up with when they’re creating—folds are a great way to turn an ordinary project into something extraordinary! We also have lots of great card stock and Designer Series paper that make folding especially fun. Plus, folds aren’t rocket science, so anyone can take a stab at it.

So this month let’s have fun with folds, shall we? Submit your projects by the last day of the month, and see what kind of creative ideas you can come up with! I look forward to seeing your ideas too!

This isn't very fancy, but I did a gate fold for this card with the Shimmer Paint Mist and Rose is a Rose stamp set. It's hard to see the shimmer on the cardstock in the photos, but in person it's so pretty!

I used the leftover scored cardstock from the rose card to make this penguin card:

Finally, here's a Swing Card using Vintage Vogue:

Here's a folded angel made from the pennant die. It's not hard and I've included a tutorial.

Here's a hidden message card we did in stamp club. It took a little time, but the card is so much fun that it is worth it.

I learned how to make these secret message cards before becoming a Stampin' Up! demo. They are tons of fun to make and a blast to watch someone open! :-)

With just a little scoring and folding, I used the Extra Large Fancy Flower Punch to make Tiger Lilies and Easter Lilies. Enjoy!

This post shows a whole lot of origami kudusama flowers... I folded over one hundred of them in different sizes to create "floating" floral centerpieces for a local Baby Welcoming Ceremony in February.

well, I took a little poetic license and used the "folds" for making flowers and boxes for this challenge! I love creating beautiful packaging and the flods of this multisided box and carnations were fun to create!!!!

This is my sister's bday inspiration and a Mother's Day cake inspiration for all moms who bakes or gets cakes to simply see the gleam in the eyes of their children on their special day. I hand made the flowers using the XL Fancy Flower Punch. Also hand made and measured the cake slice boxes. I used the BigShot scallop circle to make the top and the side decors of the cake slices.
