A Gift of Free Books

I just approved a little piece about me and Stampin' Up! in a book written by Richard Paul Evans. Some of you may recognize him as the author of several New York Times' bestsellers, including The Christmas Box, the book that launched his writing career.

Richard is reworking one of his previous books--Five Lessons a Millionaire Taught Me about Life and Wealth--and gearing it specifically toward women. He asked if it was alright if he mentioned me and the story of Stampin' Up! in one of the chapters, and I said "yes." I like what he talks about and was honored to be included in a book that I believe offers solid financial ideas and advice.

In working with Richard, he mentioned that he is in the middle of offering a gift packet of free books--25 copies of The Christmas Box--to anyone who is interested; you do need to pay shipping and handling. He invited me to share the information and link with you as a gift from both of us. Check it out at http://richardpaulevans.com/freebooks. The free books are only available through December 6, or while supplies last, whichever comes first.

I'll let you know more about his upcoming financial book for women soon; it's scheduled to be released in January. I'm excited to read it all and see what I can learn from Richard.

Wow! Free books is so cool - I work at a public library and think I'll buy a set to donate.
I can't wait to place an order for the book you'll be featured in (that's my job at the library - Acquisitions)!!

You are the best Shelli! Our school district just ordered four boxes of books! Thank you so much for sharing this link. As a school in a rural area, there is not a lot of money in the budget to buy "extras." Our students will love reading this book!

Shelli, first of congratulations on being included in the new book. I can't wait to read it. Secondly, thanks for the tip on the free books. I just ordered them and they will be perfect for a special group of friends. Lastly, I mailed off a package of cards for Shanna yesterday so you should get them at the office later this week. Thanks again for all you do!

I have been reading his books the last couple Christmas seasons and am already a huge fan. After hearing this, I am thrilled and anxiously awaiting the one you're featured in - I know it will be amazing! How sweet of you to let us in on this major blessing!

Shelli,
I hope I am doing this correctly because I have never put in a blog before! I have to say that when I saw the word books, I couldn't read fast enough. Books like crafting are dear to my heart. What a wonderful opportunity you have passed on and I wanted to thank you personally. Not to worry, I will thank the author with as much if not more vigor.
On a different subject, I wanted to express how much your blog means to me. You have opened your heart and mind and shared so much about your life, both the good and let us say the more challenging parts as well. I think that takes a great deal of love for everyone and it makes me feel special to have the opportunity to share this with you and everyone else who might read it. Thank you for this very precious gift with all my heart!

One more comment because I happened to read the comment above my own from Cynthia Kilpatrick who was stating her love for books. A friend of mine does a book give away every monday or tuesday. Sometimes a book she picks, a lot of times one that you choose. Her blog site is http://katrinastonoff.wordpress.com . All you have to do is leave a comment, and she draws one comment slip out of one of her many, many vintage hats each week. She also tells the story about how she came about her very unique hat of the week. Quite interesting!
