A Beautiful Utah Day

It was a beautiful day in Utah today—clear skies, warm (warmer than normal for Utah) weather, and I am moving faster than I have in weeks. I’ve mentioned my little ice-slipping incident previously, and ever since then, my tushie has definitely been tender. I didn’t realize how much I like to walk fast! But today, I am pretty much back to my typical stride—woo hoo! I’m tickled to be making progress!

Another thing that made today so great was our Board of Directors’ meeting, a quarterly meeting I have with a board of absolutely incredible individuals who inspire, encourage, and enlighten me! Today was the first time in a long time we’ve had all the board members together (with such a group of accomplished people, their calendars are pretty full, and so we often have to settle for less than everyone), and it felt wonderful to spend several valuable hours together with people whom I respect so much.

Last year we added two new board members—both female—and these two ladies have brought a new energy to an already-extraordinary group! I was especially delighted this morning when one of these ladies walked in carrying her latest creative endeavor, this adorable little Stampin’ Up! bear. I knew the minute she handed this gift to me that I would be sharing tonight; it was so fun to see our product being used in a different way!

So, that’s why today was so beautiful in Utah! I hope that wherever you are, your day has been wonderful too!

So glad you are feeling better finally. My family all live in Bountiful so I heard from them what lovely weather Utah is having. I look forward to your posts, thank you for sharing little glimpses into your life.

That bear is so sweet! So glad the sun is shining on Riverton. It's likely still the afterglow from Leadership bouncing out of your headquarters onto the state! ;-)

Glad to hear you are feeling better. Falling down is NO Fun...I fell down my stairs last year and still remember the pain I felt...bounced all the way down on my behind.
Leadership was the best! Please Thank everyone for the great job they all did to put this event together.....and Thank You Shelli for just being YOU!
I love the little Bear! How big (or small) is it? Is it a pin? Can we get a pattern? Your new board member is very talented!

What a CUTE bear! Glad you are getting back up to your normal speed. Is there a list somewhere of your BOD's? I serve on a couple of non-profit boards and I am always curious to see the make-up of other BOD's. Thanks!

The little bear is so adorably cute. I love the cutesy things. I love creating but she must share this pattern with us. I am sure the gals at convention this year would love to see one of these guys pop up for some special people. I was sitting next to a gal at Leadership that was lucky enought to get one of the handmade cards and when she opened it and it was signed by you; I was so happy for her. What a treasured memory for her. I want to thank you again for touching my heart and being able to chat with you a bit at leadership. You always inspire me and want me to be a better person demonstrator and mother. Leadership was so awesome!

I love the stampin up designer paper series. However I find that I need the colours specific for the designer paper series. For example- to make the best use of the greenhouse gala you need card of pear pizzazz, daffodil delight, chocolate chip, real red, pumpkin pie and baja breeze. These colours are all in different collections so you need to buy card in each of the colours. It would be great if you could package up these colours and sell as a pack of 12 x12 card stock. I think they would sell as an essential neccessity with each of the different designer paper series. I am really enjoying my new hobby and look forward to learning about the new products. Many Thanks Lorraine.

What an adoreable bear!

Shelli...I read on the website that SU had a great opening day of SAB. I think part of that is due to the amazing SAB catalog and also a great occasions mini to order from. I love that there are option in the SAB catalog beyond stamps ... paper, ribbon, buttons and the awesome MDS CD! Way to go, SU!

He is sooooo cute! Here's my vote for the pattern for the bear :-)

I can't thank you enough for the EXCEPTIONAL Leadership convention. I signed up a recruit under the Leadership Challenge, and I just hope I don't let you down!!

I forgot to put on my convention feedback survey that between you, Rich, and all the talented SU! staffers, you absolutely have no need to contract a separate "keynote" speaker - you filled our buckets!

So glad you are feeling better. What a wonderful surprise if you weren't already feeling better that cute little bear would have done the trick. What a wonderful day indeed.

What a cutie! I so love the SU products and wish they would be available here in the Scandinavian countries. Happy that you are recovering from your ice incidcent. Here we still have to be very careful when we walk outdoors - since the area where I live in Sweden have received a tremendous amount of snow. Must confess that I really are longing for some signs of spring.

Wish you a wonderful day in Utah (one day I hope to be able to visit our relatives in Salt Lake City. Kram Anki
