Good-bye and Thanks!

Yesterday we attended a retirement party for a long-time employee, who has been with the company more than 20 years, the last several as a manager. As we attended the activities (lunch and a lighthearted “roast”), I got teary-eyed as I thought about the hard work, dedication, and commitment this man has offered through the years. He’s been a remarkable employee and a wonderful example, and I’m so grateful for the chance I’ve had to know him and work with him.

Of course, from there my thoughts went to all the incredibly dedicated, hardworking employees we are blessed to associate with. . . simply good people who are so inspiring in the way they live their lives and do their jobs.

Thanks to all our wonderful employees—we are so grateful and appreciative!

Gosh Shelli, I nearly had heart failure when I read the title of this blog post in my reader. Thank goodnes it's not you retiring! Best Wishes to your employee - 20+ years is a long time to spend with one employer. I guess that reinforces why Stampin' Up! is such a great organisation to work for.

Dearest Shelli,
When writing future posts, please refrain from choosing titles such as "goodbye and thanks" lest you cause thousands upon thousands of demonstrators and friends around the world to spit coffee/tea at their computer screen or hyperventilate or faint. Or possibly all three!

Seriously, thanks to all the wonderfully dedicated employees of Stampin' Up! and also to you, Shelli, for the positive culture and values that encourage employees to stick around for 20+ years. xoxo

Ditto the first two comments......I nearly had a heart attack too. I thought OMG what has gone wrong for you to leave us. Well done on being with the company for over 20 years but I can understand why you stayed so long, I would love to be working at the home office :):):)

I thought the same thing. No! Shelli is too young to retire! We know you are grooming your daughter, but we are so glad that you are not hanging up your apron yet!
Congratulations to your long time employee on his retirement!

Another testament to the priorities you have modeled, and the example you have set for us all, Shelli. Faith, Family, Friends. Inspire, Create, Share. I truly believe that Stampin' Up! is your appointed and annointed mission here on earth. Take gentle care.

No matter where we are, Stampin' Up! is a great company to work for. In fact it's the best company I've ever been associated with. We would have few economic problems if other companies and industry followed Stampin' Up!'s footsteps. Congratulations to the 20-year employee.
