Convention Crunch

Every year this week (and for some many weeks prior!) is a wonderfully hectic week at Stampin’ Up! Our North America convention starts next week, so we are finalizing all the details and making sure everything is in order; we call it the convention crunch.

Personally, I’m working on my stamping presentation and my remarks, as well as making sure that anything else I’ve been asked to do is done. I’ve got a hair appointment on my calendar, and I’ve scheduled time with Shalae to help me make final decisions on what I’m wearing. (I stress about things like that!)

Elsewhere in the company people are finishing all kinds of other projects. . . way too many to mention. You could never guess the thousands and thousands of details that go into planning an event like this. I adore our employees always but feel a special appreciation for them at a time like this. Our Stampin’ Up! events are amazing, and every employee plays a part.

If you're a demonstrator planning on joining us in Salt Lake City next week, you’ll love every minute of it! And if you can’t make it, we are streaming a portion of our Saturday session live this year for our demonstrators! You’ll see a stamping presentation, hear an exciting announcement, and get a taste of a Stampin’ Up! event. You can find out more on the demonstrator website.

Now I’ve got to get back to making those final preparations—see you in Salt Lake!

While on a smaller magnitude, I feel like I have my own Convention Crunch! Trying to finish swaps and downline gifts, shop for new clothes, hair and nail appointments, last minute travel arrangements (shuttles and parking), etc. Whew! I am driven by the anticipation of what crunch time on your end will yield of us next week! I know how much work it is to put on a one day event for 100 people. I can only fathom what that would be multiplied to the nth degree. Thank you for all your hard work! Can't wait to see you in SLC!

I can't make it to convention this year, so I am very excited to hear about the live streaming on Saturday. How exciting! What a great way to include everyone in the excitement of this event!

Wishing you a wonderful and successful event!

The Excitement for convention is what I live for! Although many have mentioned they are looking for sneak peeks and some announcements to a dress theme to help build the excitement. I know that there will be plenty of surprizes when we get there. I have finalized my plans for flight and hotel and scoped out the places I might want to see on my free day.
I know all too well the feeling of crunch time. Procrastination is something you have to leave behind at this point and just DO IT! Currently working on swaps and packing my suitcase. It is kind of full at this point and I know I will need an extra suitcase to bring home my tons of goodies and swaps. I will include a box from the post office that I can stuff and mail home. I did this last year and it saved me from paying the extra money at the Airport. The Wait is about to kill me but I know that there are good times ahead.. can't wait to see you! I know your presentation will be wonderful.
Much Love

Shelli, this will be my 15th convention and I can totally say that Stampin' Up! outdoes itself every year! I am so excited for convention, but I'm especially excited for those who have never been or cannot come this year to participate, even if it is only on the internet! You guys rock!

Streaming live??? seriously??? Shelli this is the best news I've had in a long time. I've already given my notice at home, Saturday is off limits to everyone needing me for anything.... I can't wait!... Good luck on your presentation and best wishes for an awesome convention.

This will be my first convention and I've got chills just reading this! I can't wait! I have check lists everywhere and have been running errands at lunch every day this week! See you in a few short days!

I'm excited to see the live stream! This is the second year I've been unable to make convention due to finances. Hopefully this will help make those of us that were unable to attend feel a small part of it. I'm really hoping to be able to make convention next year. I've read everyone's postings, and I'm feeling just a tad sorry for myself :( So hearing about the live stream is a bit of a comfort. I hope everyone going has smooth sailing!

From a first timer to convention & brand new demonstrator of 1 1/2 months....the time in Salt Lake City was awesome. It was so fun to get a close-up look at Stampin' Up. Headquarters was beautiful and very impressive as was every employee throughout the 4 days with whom I came in contact.

I honestly was overwhelmed trying to imagine all that must have gone nto pulling off such an event. The hard work did not go unnoticed. Thank you for a very positive first encounter with Stampin' Up.
