Tomorrow. . . .

I checked into the hotel this morning, had my rehearsals and mic check, browsed through the Memento Mall (Wow!), and strolled through the convention center. Now I’m back at the hotel, working feverishly to finish all the last-minute details.

Convention 2012 is almost here! The facility looks wonderful; I love our décor this year. . .simple, warm, welcoming. I wanted to just sit down at one of the tables in the Gathering Place and relax. Loved the photos, the sparkling lights, the look and feel. . . the only thing that’s missing is our amazing demonstrators.

And they’ll all be here tomorrow. Can’t wait!

I noticed the decorations were simple this year but inviting. Visited Riverton today, Got some cards swapped and I attended the I am Creative class tonight. I gave Shannon a handout to give to you. Amazingly I had found an add in the Spirit magazine while on a Southwest Flight. The 6 page Ad was from Cirque du soleil and featured our amazing convention theme I AM. I found this excited me even more as I headed toward convention. I gave the ad to Shannon to give to you as I thought you would enjoy seeing it. Hopefully I get to talk to you later as I have a small gift for you made with the comfort cafe dsp.

I am missing it SO MUCH this year!! I loved the bags, loved the decorations, loved what I've seen come out of Memento Mall so far, loved the song from the Home Office, love that all my friends that are there are good about posting so I can feel a part of it. SO saving pennies for Leadership and Convention next year and PTO too. Hope you all have so much fun!

I wish I was there. My first year I'm missing Convention since I joined 5 years ago. But I'm thrilled that this is the first year I actually earned the incentive trip! I'm going to Hilton Head! Plus I'm planning to go to Leadership as a Manager. Woo Hoo! Can't wait to see close ups of your projects. (Seen some on facebook but they are a bit blurry.)
Enjoy the rest of convention.

Back from my first convention and it was Disneyland for SU demos!! Candy, popcorn and ice cream in the Gathering room at lunch time; absolutely awesome presentations, ideas and costumes by Bonnie, Carrie, Sara, Shannon and of course Shelli. The home office rocks in all the prep they did for the wonderful experience that we had. The skits, songs, classes, decorating the different areas and sharing snippets about themselves with us, makes us feel more a part of the whole SU family. The theme song is amazing and I am still humming it! Jason was a very inspirational speaker and my sides hurt from laughing so much until the next day. The Prize Patrol was phenomenal and one of my roommates won. the amount of stamp sets we came away with...WOW. Cannot say enough about it all, just wish it didn't have to end. My roommates and I were all first time attendees and we are already discussing our plans for next year. Thanks again for the wonderful time, see you again next year!!

Loved Convention 2012 -- amazing classes and even more amazing demonstrations!!! I so wish I could have taken notes during your presentations, but too dark for me and I couldn't take my eyes off from you creating. I surely hope and pray you will share directions on your projects again (maybe under Conventions Resources), especially the project made with Gesso. Please, please, please! Thank you for an awesome time!!
