Day 4: Living the Dream

Aren’t those four great-looking boys? I’m proud of all our grandsons (and our granddaughters), and I love this photo!

This is a page in an album I’m creating that includes some of the candid shots and outtakes from our family photo shoot this year. The photo shoot is a major undertaking, but it’s also become quite a fun family tradition.

This page was simple to make—a Sahara Sand background page with a few stamped images as accents. One thing worth noting: I ran chipboard and the Lattice Bigz Die through the Big Shot to make the lattice images, adhering the cut-out pieces to the page to create the embossed look and using the cutout pieces as a template for the spritzing, which I created with our new Stampin’ Spritzer, some reinker, and a little water.

I’ll try to remember to share the other pages I create for this album. . . hope I have it done before our next photo shoot next spring!

Wow your grandson that is second from the left reminds me of his grandpa Sterling so much! It is just amazing how much our family genes pass from one generation to the next. Our youngest daughter just had her first baby. They call him Andy. He has a little point on one of his ears just like our daughter. Unfortunately the previous generation that had the little pointed ear was long gone before our daughter was born to compare their ears. I am so happy to be a first time Grandmom. What a blessing it is for you to have so many wonderful children and grandchildren. God Bless you Shelli.

Such a great layout. Balanced and soft, lets the terrific picture shine through. The Morning Post Alphabet is a winner. I chose it for my Annual Sales award set. Thank you Stampin' Up!

Okay I have a comment - I know not everyone is musically inclined but seriously you should get someone who knows music to edit your music stamps whether it be the music itself or music instruments. The music on the bottom of pg. 114 of your new catalog is all wrong. The measure counts are not correct - and sometimes the bottom hand is completely different than the right hand. I love music but I will not buy music stamps or paper that is not correct. Other than that - I LOVE Stampin Up! Thanks for providing such a great catalog.

PS can I still buy the old style 1/4" grosgrain ribbon - not the stitched ribbon in the catalog?
