I “graduated” this week from occupational therapy—a great milestone in my recovery! I’m very excited (it will be great to have one less thing to fit in my calendar) but kind of sad.
I’ve been working with Andy, my occupational therapist, for months, and he has made it enjoyable. You can tell he loves what he does (and we all know how important that is!), and I enjoyed getting to know him. He was patient yet firm; he took it seriously but made it fun. I looked forward to going to therapy (even though I knew it would hurt) because I knew I’d learn something new from Andy and make progress towards “graduating.”
And now I’m there—woo hoo! I’ll definitely miss Andy—but I won’t miss therapy! There are plenty more things on my list to work on!
