My August Stamp, Chat, and Snack Event (Amazing Birthday Cards)

During convention, I talked about my recent experiences with sharing Stampin’ Up! with others (I invited friends over for a BBQ, struck up a conversation with two strangers in the park, and visited with people in a restaurant when I went to order lunch one day); it was both intimidating and exciting!

I’ve actually got several events scheduled in the next few weeks, and I plan to host at least one event a month (I’m calling them Stamp, Chat, and Snack at Shelli’s) for the next 10 months, with each event focused on guests creating projects that everyone needs (birthday cards, thank-you cards, gift tags, treat bags, etc.)

Each month I plan on sharing the information our demonstrators need to host an event just like mine, including the information for an invitation, Buy & Provide information (what you need to do as a demonstrator), and a project idea. (During convention, we called these CASE events, because if you want you can copy them exactly—talk about easy!)

I’ll start with my August event, which features the Amazing Birthday Stamp Set. Here's the information for the invitation, what the demonstrator will need to provide, as well as the actual project. (I've also thrown in a few extra project ideas as well. . . fun projects that you can make with the Amazing Birthday Stamp Set. It always helps to show your guests how versatile a stamp set is!)

Good luck with your Amazing August event; let me know how it goes!

Thank you so much for sharing! I LOVE all these ideas! These pictures are MUCH better than the ones I took at convention! I'm looking forward to the monthly classes, and I'm planning on using them to help me earn that Mediterranean Cruise!!!!! <3

Thanks for sharing, Shelli! I have been looking for ideas so I can get customers. I have been a demonstrator for 3 years and have just one real customer...who orders seldom. I have been trying so hard to get people to come stamp with me...I am going to try your CASE idea! How much do I need to charge people to come to this? Or better...how do I decide what I should charge for events I put on?

Shelli - You're just the best! I loved all this sitting at Convention watching you show it off; and I love it even more now looking at the pictures up close. Thank you for openly sharing your creativity and ideas with us, and helping us become "superstar" demos! I'm loving being a part of Stampin' Up!

WoW - Just WoW! I totally love the idea of CASE workshops! My energy has been so low. The economy hit my regular group - Hard; I've retired so don't see as many new folks..... my friends are into different hobbies... yeah - I recognize a list of excuses when I see one. AND This is already such a boost to my energy level. Feels like getting a hand up to put my foot in the stirrup and saddle up for the ride. Appreciate the lift [& say HI to Sterling!]

Hi Shelli,
These are such great ideas you rock I absolutely love love love Stampin' Up and you!!!!! I had such a great time at convention, it was so much fun! I have a question though, during one of your sessions you gave advice on how to get people to book parties. You asked random people three questions, like "do you get birthday cards?" and "do you send birthday cards?". I wanted to find out what the three questions you used were? I have looked at all the videos from convention and cant seem to find this information anywhere. If you could get back to me I would greatly appreciate it.
